Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is arguably the most popular team in Indian Premier league. The reason for its popularity is mainly due to the fact that it is owned by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. Craze of Ganguly in Bengal is another reason. Though the team couldn't finish in top 4 last season, it was the most profit-making team.

Kolkata Knight Rider's coach, Buchanan had decided to get a rotation of captain between Ganguly, Hodge, McCullum and Gayle in each matches which was supposed to be completely new experiment in cricket. It created a rift between Ganguly and coach and the decision was later ruled out.
After the long debate in team, some lte decision have been made. Kolkata will have their new captain as Bendon McCullum who replaces the Sourav Ganguly.
Its full of talented players but the main job is to utilize them properly.
